burning oil

took out my sled this weekend and it seemed like it was running good, no fouling of plugs and power was there but oil light was coming on after about 75 miles. why was i burning so much oil? No leaks but it was smoking.

check your oil pump setting...

throttle end play should be set firt(1-2mm)

oil pump setting: 21-23mm(i'd use 23)

throttle end play;

setting the oil pump;

and measure here;

Also check were you do your ajustments on your oil pump that your cable end has not pulled out of the fitting and is resting on the outside of the cable,it will be under a rubber cover on the cable.

thanks for the help i'll have to check, but isnt it weird that it wouldnt foul a plug going through that much oil? I mean it was running good.

No not really,you can use alot of oil and not foul a plug
