I'll try to keep this short since a lot of people seem to be having electrical questions lately.
I have a fairly weak battery in my 02 Viper. I charged it before riding on saturday. The sled ran great, but the handwarmers got progressivly colder and the battery slowly died throughout the day so I was forced to pull start. I figured that the stator was bad and everything was running off the battery that's why it died.
Checked the voltage at the battery at 5000 RPM and only got around 12.75 volts.
I measured the resistance across the stator and got .7 ohms. The spec is .36-.44 ohms.
Any other ideas before I find a new stator? I put wire loom over the harness under the engine 2 years ago so I don't believe that it could be a wire rub through.
Thanks for any help.

Hi!
I`m not that good with electrical stuff but I think you should find out what wires to measure, you are suppost to measure between several different wires. Measure them when the engine is cold and just after having ridden, the values will vary.
Is your battery in good condition?.
