I bought a 04 Venom last year and i honestly dont know a whole hell of a lot about it except for the fact that i
LOVE this sled. A couple questions:
Its got a sxr600 engine in it right? Did they start using this engine in 2000? What are the best ways to get more power out of it? Also any good recomendations where to get parts, i do have a couple local shops that seem to have pretty competitive prices, but any yami specific sites mabye? Appriciate the help, thanks.

I've got an '04 Venom also and I love it. Easiest way to get some more power is to put triple pipes on it. It's not cheap, but it's the quickest way to get power. I've also put a thinner head gasket and read spacers on mine. I'm still working on getting the clutches fine tuned to my riding. All in all, it's just how much money you want to spend. Clutching is the best way to the most power out of what you got. Hauck makes some good clutch kits. Your right it does have the same motor as the sxr600.

Id stick to a clutch kit. Pipes are great for the power they gain you, but its been my experience that they make an engine a lot more finickey in terms of jetting.
Clutch it, stud it and ride it. If you wanted a really fast sled, a Venom wasnt the right sled to buy.
