I have been having problems with my speedo, just wanted to know if anyone would be kind anough to let me plug my dash into there viper to see if its ok.

All you would have to do is disconect the harness from the dash under the hood, plug in mine and spin the track.

thanks Jay

thats cool thanks for the offer though, I know its ethier the sensor or the dash, so just waiting on a new sensor, but have a feeling my dash is messed sense its more expensive with my luck.

the only way to check the dash is to buy a special tool harness adapter from Yamaha or plug it in to some one elses sled. I had some of the aircraft avioncs guys ( aircraft electrical engineers) at work tear it apart and they couldnt find anything, yamaha makes them so you cant fix em.

you can try to unplug your dash and check if those wire are good they go direct from the sensor to the dash so its easy

all the wires from the sensor to the dash are good checked them and they all have continuity.

then to make sure none were rubbing i removed all the black tape from the harness spent awile inspecting all the wires the re tapped and covered in very good hi temp wire aviation protector

Speedo

I dont know if you got it fixed or not but my roomate has an extra speedo in the shed and if you want we live in Constance Bay you can come out with your sled and try it or come and get it and try it out and see if it works. Its off a 2002 Viper

I'll be bringing mine home from the cottage this weekend. I live out near Carp. Guess you can try it if you want. Can't see any harm?!?! How hard is it to get at the connector?

cool ok thanks guys, it wil only work on a viper, its real easy to get to the connector you just lift hood and unhook the conector that goes into the back of the dash, takes 10secs super simple.

I will let you know if i need to do this i bought a new sensor I should get it tommorrow, if that dosnt fix the problem its got to be the dash and i will need to test it out.

thanks alot for the offer guys really apriciated it, I let you know.

thanks Jay
