Going to be racing alittle this weekend...slp pipes on the viper, any improvement to be gained from running Klots octane booster or the Nytro stuff? Thanks guys

Nope, not unless you are adding compression, tightening the squish or running very aggressive porting that needs the added resistance to detonation of higher octane fuel

excartly you will run slower with more octan the least amount of octane you can run without detonating is the fastest. You can gain some power with the nytro stuff but jet up a few sizes.

Octane does not produce HP, only knock protection.
It does in a sense because you can stay on the hammer without your
motor knocking or the computer retarding timing..

That still is not OCTANE producing horsepower, octane in no way, shape, or form produces horsepower. Better flow, more cylinder charging, and more compression increase horsepower. Higher octane just allows you to UTILIZE that new higher horse engine without detonation and eventual engine failure. That may seem knit-picky but if you word things like that people that don't know will take out the details and take the statement as "octance produces horsepower"....not a good thing

Higher octane gas simply burns slower than lower octane gas. I've always got a kick out of people thinking they're gonna get better performance just by running higher octane gas.

well the sled is jetted for 0-20 slp specs to be safe 165 mains. The temp will be 10-0 degrees that night, Just wondering if it would help any, wasn't sure, was at the clukeys car place and they said they had some in so just wondering,. thanks guys
