SRX very hard on sliders?

I just put some new sliders on two weeks ago and they are already done at the front and had to be replaced. Does anyone know why they are wearing out so fast? I was told the black ones are not as good, so I got some blue ones this time, but it must be something else too. There are two straps at the front where they are wearing out pre-maturely, so I adjusted them to bring the front of the track(suspension) as high as possible, and I also took some load off the front shock in the rear suspension thinking that will maybe take some force off the sliders, does anyone have any other ideas?
 

The best thing is oversize wheels made by aftermarket companies, or you can install idlers from polaris indy's as well, they are a little bigger. Go to totallyamaha.com and go to the tech pages and there are several different options for improving slide wear.
 
You know I get to ride here in Kentucky on minimal snow last 2 years , I have the hifax saver wheel kit I have ZERO wear! How can the slides wear so fast in snow states? Track tension cranked to the max?
 
The other important thing you have to remember is that yamaha's burn slides very quickly down almost to the wear line (or even to the wear line), and then stop wearing if you are riding in good conditions and put the hyfax through a few heat cycles, getting them hot and then cooling them off in nice powder snow. The thing i do is drill holes in my slides all the way along them for two reasons. One is that they hold snow so that if you get to a spot with low snow, the snow in the holes can melt out and still provide some lube. The other reason is because the wear line is not actually at the same depth as the rails, there is still more slide left. Drilling holes in them allows you to see exactly how much hyfax material is left at any given time. I have two sleds with over 6,000 miles on slides.
 
My SRX has the original slides says the former owner and she's 3000 miles,
i may change them next year just to spend money...

the track has always been on the loose side
