I'm getting fault codes for both the hand and thumb warmer variable resistors having an issue, Can anyone give me any information on what that code means by discontinutiy of the variable resistor, and how to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here hope it helps;

So I went and tested the voltage going to the variable resistors, power going into them, continuity through them and they ohm out. I then checked power at the actual handwarmer connection and nothing. Figured I could live without handwarmers for a while so I fired up the sled, the coolant light blinked 3 times for the thumb warmer, shut that off, 2 times for the grip warmer, then it kept blinking at the same rate as when you start the sled continuously. Does this mean its the cdi box. The fault codes say it flashes 3 times if it is working properly does continuous mean that it isnt. Thanks

On start up it will blink 3 times thats norm(self test) and then anything after
that is a code,count the lights.

It just keeps blinking at the same rate as when it goes through its normal startup of the three blinks. I couldn't find any pattern that matched it on the list of codes in the tech section. Any ideas could it be the cdi box or voltage regulator

I'm going back out tonight to mess around with it some more, I'll let you guys know what I come across, what would it act like if the cdi box is shot

I went out last night, started it up, light flashes 3 times like normal and everything is fine. I guess It must be a lose wire or something, I don't know, anyways, thanks for posting that picture really appreciate it and I'm sure I'll need it if they start acting up again. Ride hard
