Looking for a crank for my 97 700 sx.Found a crank out of 600 triple but noticed the bearing in Yamaha parts picture shows a one piece bearing instead of the two bearings I have on my stator side. Are all cranks and rods the same on triple sx motors?
Talking to a couple of engine shops in my area it might be alot cheaper and faster getting a good used crank.

Get the newer style crank with the big one piece bearing and just get your cases machined for it. That style bearing is much stronger than the bearings in the '97s. Shouldn't cost too much to get the cases machined either.

they should be, i have a '01 600sxr bottom end on my '97 top end and all works fine! unless someone tells me different!

check for yourself at hlsm.com I just looked at 2000 and they were the same part # 600/700. J
