problem with my new USI skis and Bergstrom's

What's wrong with these? There's a 3/8" gap between the ski and the wear rod. Is it supposed to be like that? The threads don't even come up through the mounts.

Are you supposed to just bend the skis a little? I've never had new skis so I'm clueless and an idiot.

I meant bending the carbides straighter..

had that before as well. just take your time and go along tightening up the nuts. do night try to tighten on nut all the way down at once. tighten each one a little and keep going over them. it will suck the runner up tight.

Got it thanks a lot. I just wanted to ask before I screwed them up...

Use a C-Clamp to pull them together and then tighten up the nut. Normal.

What do you guys think of these skis? Just put a set on my 98 sx, pick them up from a buddy, what a difference. I had to raise the saddle the spindle bolt location was a lot lower that the stock location. Very happy with them so far. Only have about 50 miles on them so far.
