I went onto Ronnies Yamaha microfiche and it lists the same part number for the crankshaft assembly but the picture and parts list show a different bearing being used on the mag end of this crankshaft in 2001. Is this because Yamaha realized a problem with the double bearings on the 1997 700 redhead triple and replaced those two bearings with a better single bearing? Can you replace the old bearings on a 1997 crank with the newer one? The cases should still be indentical right? Anyone have some insight on this???
