Right now i'm running 165.5 mains in my piped viper, getting beat during the day, but when night fall arrives it seems to come "alive" better. The day temps are going to be around 20 degrees and night anywheres from 0-10. Would it be alright to run 162's or 160's at sea level?1300 elevation. Thanks guys

See how your plugs and piston wash look at the 0-10 degree temp then maybe install some TPI type valves on your air box and open them up when the temp's go up - also make sure your carb heaters are off ;)!

yeah, I was curious to see if I could run the 160's which would jet the sled for 20-40 but I think that would be pushing it come night fall. Possibly be safe with the 162.5's..I need the extra hp during the day, the sled seems doggy during the days even at 10 degrees..

I'm no "piped Viper" guy, but sounds like you are on the rich side - drop it down and do a plug check at WOT and hit the kill switch - that is the best way - who's pipes are you running? - what do they recommend?

My jaws pipes the company claims 152.5-155 @ Sea Level. I'm running 162.5s and you know when it's 20 F out or warmer, and does it drink fuel! Don't know what to tell you.
