I went for an awesome ride Yesterday...only the 3rd one of the season, but during the ride I noticed that I was over reving.
From a slow rolling start then WFO the RPM's climed to just over 9000, then came back down to about 8600. I have never touched my clutches before and not sure what weights I should be looking at putting in. The machine ran great but It's probably loosing some power by over-reving.
Last year I was running the stock 1.5" track and using an Ultimax 3 belt and the clutching was excellent.
I am running a 98 700 XTC-P (basicly stock) with reed spacers, dynoport can and a new ripsaw track this year. I am running a yamaha belt 70 deg wrap, 22/40 gearing and a G-P-G primary and green secondary.
Any advice would be great.
Thanks..
