newbie 98 srx 700-I just filled the tank with gas and the next morning i noticed a small amount of gas dripping from underneath on the right side.
So far i took the airbox off and checked the fuel lines, anyone have this problem or know what i should check next.
Carbs?
Is there a overflow for the gas tank?
thanks

I hit a tree once and the leak did not appear till the next day. A rivet put a little hole on the right front bottom of the tank. Just used a screw and some seal all stuff and it has been fine for years.

hmm ill check have to check that, so far i checked al the hoses going from the tank to the f pump to carbs they all seemed ok.
One of your floats could be "hanging" . Try riding the sled and see if it stops leaking.
This happens from time to time.. .
When you ride it and it get`s "bumped" around the float may float up and close so that the gas doesnt flow anymore.

yup that is a possibility. Make sure that when you go to start it the first time you dont pull it really fast in case the crankcase is full of fuel. If it hydrolocks you can really damage your rods and crank.
Also check the fuel outlet where the feed hose comes from the tank to the fuel pump. When I bought mine it was partially pulled out and leaking around the o-ring. Pushed it back in and it has never leaked since. Cheapest thing I have ever fixed on the sled!!!

ok i checked all the fuel line and took out the airbox, I got snow falling as i write this, Ill see if the floats gets unstuck or ill look for another prob.
One more I filled the tanks over 7/8 full so I am leaning towards either the float bowls or possibly a crack or a hole in the gas tank
