I under stand the hole t.o.r.s system but i am haveing problems of it kicking in all the time in powder. Can i plug the vents or is there a better way to solve the problem. I live in indiana and we just got dumped on 6-8 inches and still falling i need help fast!!! thanks
You can bypass the t.o.r.s. unplug the switch & conect the two wires togather, the wires run along side the air box.

If your throttle is sticking then you've got a problem to fix which is why the TORS is coming on,although I sympathyze with you as mine on my 98 SRX comes on for what seems no apparent reason.I just bypassed it and flip the throttle each time I start the sled to make sure it's not stuck.

take the throttle cable off and soak it in pure antifreeze for 12hrs. this will lube the cable and remove the water/ice in it.

yup i agree you must have moisture in the cable that keeps freezing. Need to lube the cable up somehow.

You could use WD-40 instead of antifreeze. WD-40 was designed just for this kind of problem - to remove water from mechanical or electrical systems. It also lubes better than antifreeze.

when you reinstall the throttle cable after you have lubed per above, check to make sure you have it adjusted properly (slack) too tight a throttle cable will enable the tors.
