which sleds came with long shaft and which with short shaft?... Also need to know which spindles were found defective....

Viper had longer spindles than other models.

97-98 pro action are the defective ones, they were thin and would bend and twist.

any sled with low saddle skis have long spindles.

any non viper that had long spindles had spindles with steel stearing arms

vipers had aluminum stearing arms and are not interchangable as the spline is different between the two
