i need help figuring out how long my transfer rods need to be on my long traveled 97 SX 700. can someone else with a long traveled SX with adjustable transfer rods measure from the top of the adjuster nut to the bottom of the tube on the end where the suspension axle goes through? i have an extra pair that im thinking about cutting and adding a one inch(+or-) extension into so i have the right amount of transfer. does anyone think that would work?

rods
what i done was took the bolt and washer out of the bottem of the tranfer rod and put a peice of copper pipe in between the rod and the washer it gave me about 1 inch of travel . but you can go a little longer.there's no need to cut and weild...reddog

ii think the transfer rods are the same for all 97 and up proactions sleds except for 99-02 srx. the im not totally sure but i think the only dif between a sx and a sxr suspension is the shocks and limiter straps. i have a suspension tuning manual i could give u the measurements of what a long travel gaps should be on the top and bottom

couplers
all 8" suspension couplers are the same lengths, washer thickness changes. The SX non powervalved sleds are 8" Rear Sus, SXr are 11.5 " Rear Sus. of which the welded on washer on coupler is 5 mm different
