I applied for a buiseness credit line at my local Yamaha dealer and was turned down because I didn't buy enough in one year. The only reason I need it was because I work monday to saterday and the dealer is an hour and a half away. I would have to close the shop to go get parts. I spent over $8,000.00 there last year. I have supplyers that will put $30,000.00 on my account no problem, And it gets paid every month. I told the maneger that I will be going to another Yamaha dealer, and she just said OK by-by. I will no longer buy anything at this dealer and I'm very tempted to mension there name. I'll just say that There are two Yamaha dealers in Winnipeg and this is the small one. And will probably get smaller if they keep it up.
I know what you mean
I live in Sakatchewan and find it hard to deal with Yamaha dealers. I travelled over four hours to get repairs done because the two closer to me quoted repairs $1000 overand the other was at the price I paid with parts only. With a quote of over 10 hours labour and a we wouldn't have time for that anyway to go with the quote

Canadian Yamaha dealers don't get the same deal from Yamaha that American dealers get. Canadian dealers cost on parts is higher. I'm not defending the ignorant dealers. If you shop around, you can usually find a hungry dealer that will give you a 15% discount and a line of credit. I deal with a dealer 2 hours away and usually just have the parts shipped.

LIFE MEMBER ONLY ONCE!!!
justaviper that is WILD.Knock on WOOD..I have no problems with them. They know me good since I always buy parts off them for my two sleds.I love the MOTORSPORTS world.Opps did I let the cat out of the bag.Connect all three words in capital letters and what do you get????????????LOL
I already get 15% off, and I was only asking for $1000.00 credit line. I didn't think it was a big deal. Oh well I also get the same deal at the other dealer so I will ask them for credit. I was thinking of getting another sled for the wife and that dealer will not get the sale. I guess another way to go is just pay over the phone with a credit card and have them ship the parts. I just can't understand why they are so unreasonable.

In the states Yamaha Credit is thru HSBC and has nothing to do with Yamaha - usually it's based on credit score and income - I've seen self employed guys that are doing well get turned down due to not disclosing enough income. A good dealer would have tried harder.

HSBC Yamaha - is unsecured credit, believe it or not! They will pull credit, but they won't verify income, they may ask, but your not hooked to a lie detector.
