I have a 03 Viper and my sled seems to use a lot of oil. I go about 140 miles and my low oil like comes on. Is this normal? I have asked some people I know and I have gotten mixed results, some say that about right and other say it shouldnt be using that much. But nobody has a viper.....

Check to make sure the the oil cable is seated properly in the adjustment nut right above the carbs. If it isn't sitting down tight in the sleeve it will use A LOT more oil because it will be running the pump close to full stroke all the time. If it is seated properly check the cable gap as Daman said. Should be around 22mm with good oil.

I guess Im just kind of curious what other vipers are getting for oil milage. I would rather it be getting a lil to much oil then not enough and blow it up. It just kind of sucks when you go on big trip and worry whether or not the small town gas station will carry my oil (klotz) because I have heard its not go to mix 2 different kinds of oil.

check to make sure your oil pump cable hasn't come out of the sheath at the halfway point - if you look on the cable on the right side of the airbox, there is a sheath that the cable can slide in and out of - if you have stretched the cable out, the end maybe hanging out of the sheath holding the pump wide open, mine did this and it consumed oil like mad.

A ratio of 1L oil to 60L gas should be safe. After confirming your oil injection cable is seated properly, as sugested above, and that the free play in the cable is set to the factory length as in the manuel, adjust your oil injection cable in small increments untill you get to the 60:1 ratio. If your not mechanically inclined & completely comfortable making the adjustment, have your dealer do it.
