Hi guys!

Today the weather was better, well it looked kind of bad this morning but it gradually got better and the sun also visited us.

My friend with the RS Vector celebrated his birthday yesterday so he didn`t join us to day, kind wierd to ride without him because he always rides first.

My brother in law and a friend of mine with a Viper went riding today. (me to hehe).

On our way up a long hill, probably around 1km long hill.. .

Just fooling around

We met some guys from the other side of the island. We decided to ride together up to the highest point of our island, a mountain called Troll Fjellet.
On our way up one of the guys lost his "visuals" when he rode to close to my tail and then he ended up like this. What a sight, looked funny. (he went out of the trail and jumped over the top and then landed like that.. .
On of the guys rode an RS Venture and the last one rode an RS Vector Mountain with TURBO & Intercooler !!. It`s the second time I see a sled with Turbo.. . Gees.. . I imediately told him to pop the hood so that I could have a look at the wonderful stuff under there.

I think it`s the first turbo sled ever in our "sled community".

Normally I`m not the kind of guy who ask`s unknown people about stuff but I had to ask him if I could take it for a spin and the answer was yes.

Halleluja, halleluja. I don`t know what boost he was running but I was told it had 235hp`s. Did run on 98oct.
It seemed kind of lazy at low rpm but then when I squeezed the throttle the skis lifted like they would never touch planet earth again. Halleluja.

Stuck.. I planned to turn around but the snow was so hard that I just couldn`t do it.. .

After a while we headed home but we had to play a little in a hill that we love.

After 5 hours of joy & fun we decided to go home.. here we`re going down the same long hill I mentioned above.. .

Wellwell that`s all.. :).

All sleds run great, my SRX had a few bogs now and then, but elsewise it was a joyful ride.

:)

First I'd like to say how perfect your pictures and documentary are. I look forward to your pics cause I havn't been out yet thus far. And I wish I lived on that mountain, it is perfect.

I also wanted to ask, how you can have so much fun in one day like you did on 1 fuel tank. I thought it was impossible to run that long......

Anyhow, great pics keep em comming.....

Jez man these pics are awsome nothin like my pics from the black hills,SD. wish i could only be able to ride in the snow like you have. you guys have a great stuff

vmaxThomassen: Thanks :)

makesparks4u: Only a few of us wear helmets.. . I always wore my dirtbike helmet before but I stopped wearing it for some stupid reason.. . I don`t have any excuses for not wearing a helmet.

crewchief47: Thanks alot man, nice to know!. Appreciate it!.

Godster: Thanks man, it`s the nice feedback that makes me "eager" for showing what we do, really appreciate it. I spent about 30-35 liters of gas yesterday.. .
According to my GPS we rode 50kilometers yesterday, gees it`s kind of hard to put alot of miles into a sled when you don`t have huuuge lakes to cross.. but then again.. the less miles the better (sled wise hehe).

fasttoys17: Thanks for the reply!. Will take a look at your pics if they are here at the forum.
It`s kind of wierd, when I look at pictures from the US/Canada (or another country with different scenery), I always think it looks nicer then what we have.. so I guess we are alike!.

Kimoaj--- Those pics are great. It's really nice to see pics of a place so far away,so beautiful, so uncommon to me and yet because of the things we have in common, I can almost picture myself there. Too bad we couldn't start a Yamaha ride swap something or other for those far away places. That's probably a pipe dream. Any way--- 2 questions-- What camera were you useing and what time of day were those taken. ---- Thanks again, and I think you're right, we're all alike in many ways.

do you have a trail system there?? or is it all mountain riding?? looks like a beautiful place to live.

I love the Smile on your face when your sitting on the turbo. Just great! Looks like you had a blast.

Hi guys !

Thanks for the replies:).

Snowdog700: Thanks!. Yeah it`s shame that we live "worlds apart" , it would be soo cool to meet some guys from and go riding together. The plane tickets are getting cheaper so everything is possible.. I`ve been thinking of making a trip to the US to go riding with you guys.. maybe someday in the future I will, if it`s ok ofcourse:).
Anyway, some of the pictures were shot with a cheap HP Photosmart R507 which I look upon as my workshop camera, payed 150$ for it. The "better" pics where shot with my Canon EOS 350D, it`s an expensive camera but I`m a little interested in photography so I felt it was well spent money. However they were shot in auto mode, might have got them better if I used manual setting, but the other guys we rode with tended to be in a hurry so.. I used auto mode.

BBluesrx: No we don`t have any trail system at all. The only "trails" we have are the ones that we make ourself with the sleds.. if you know what I mean. Guess you can`t call it a trail.. but we try to stick to the same trace/trail in the low land to not aggrevate the skiers etc. Elsewise on the mountain we ride everywhere:). So sad it`s illegal.. but that`s the way it is.

Silversnow: :) Yes it was so nice to be able to ride a turbo sled.. . It was the 2nd time I ever saw a turbo sled in real life.. so I was really "high" hehe:).
Will never forget the pop off valve sound when I let go of the throttle.. not to mention the ski lift on the level ground.. awesome.
