if you guys have been following along a few of us form the site got togther to ride this weekend in parrysound. was supposed to be liskardbut had to move to where they had snow.
members where Reapersrx (long traveled/tracked srx), DHSRX (stock srx), yamyrider (piped sxr 700), kirkswim (136" viper)and myself (black warrior). didnt have my ty decal yet for the warrior so if we met you among the fleets of yamahas we passed hello. we had fun except for that trail to mactier. man was it rough. tried to make the radar runs in mactier but where too beat up by the trail and where runnin late as we got lost sat am. the lost part was best trail we saw. sry we where too busy runnin to stop and take pics along the trails. saw akrievins old phazer on the trail as well.
sunday we had to pack it up early so reaper can get home for his birthday party. still went out. headed for huntsville and had a very good ride.

kirkswim with the sleds back at hotel where we ended sat night and a pick of the sleds before we went to bed for a well earned rest (damned mactier trail).
it had snowed most of the morning so the trails had lots of snow. was hard to get good traction in some spots other than all the bare rocks.

#2 waiting for DHSRX outside the motel. yamyrider, reapersrx, kirkswim and my war (less me). our "lost" trail was sweet and we hammerd down to go get breakfast. minor heat issue on viper as rear cooler was iced over. easy fix.
#3 pic from resturant window of where we parked sleds. it was nice to beat the rush but at -18c frickin cold riding. stopped for ice chunk in yammyriders tunnel jamming track. glad it wasnt motor as it had given a little trouble sat but cleared up.
#4 ok this one needs an explination. i am totally at fault for this and will get razzed accordingly when the other guys add their pics to thread. i was last in group and riding kirkswims viper as we had traded when the cooler had iced over earlier. i came into a sharp corner and the carbides (whitch where fine earlier) had lost all their knives so sled didnt bite in corner. snow was waist deep in front of fence and was trees on either side. grabbed a mit full of brake and started prayin. only stuck it in the fence at about 5kph but was fast enough to get the ski bolt past the bars. had to pull it all the way out on its side. guy going over the fence is who helped me get it out with his buddy cause it wasnt comin out with just me lemme tell ya. yamy rider came lookin for me when he hadnt seen me for over 5 min but i was alredy out on my way to group. sled damage= scratch on bumper and a mark on the side of the ski from the bars. i was lucky.

Sweet. So you guys never lined 'em up? Bummer. I wanted to see how yamyrider's SXR stood up to the other sleds. Wish i didn't have to work this weekend, sounds like a fun time, but I have more snow so there lol.
lol kirkswim and yammyrider lined up on small lake on trail. war dusted him but wasnt enough lake to get the sxr wound up on the pipes. those aaens want 9000rpm to work well. still was fun. hard on carbides though.
Looks like you guys had a good time, glad everybody made it home safe. One scratched bumper's not too bad!

We had a great time even though Maim parked in the fence.
I was under-reving when I had a very short race against the Warrior and he had me by 4 sled lengths. The SXR was only at about 8000 when we finished and it should be at 9000....Oh Well.

A big thanks to the group from Sudbury. It's too bad i we didn't get to ride out of New Liskeard and stay at my in-laws but i had a great time. I hope we can get together again before the end of the season! I have a few pics to post later tonight..........OH by the way, Bob how bad was it getting out of bed this morning! LOL..........James

Actually James I feel pretty good today....soaked the body in hot water last night.. How do you young guys feel today.
Even with the bad trails on Saturday all I have to say Is a bad day riding is better then a good day at work. Sunday morning made up for the ruff ride Saturday.
Glad to see you made it home safe guys...Until we ride again there is TY to keep in touch.

I am already starting to have withdrawls, need to sled more! I am thinking if we can't ride Sudbury i would consider trailering to Timmins and ride up to Hearst stay Sat night and ride Sunday. I talked to a group that rode that area last week and said trails are pretty good. So.........who's in?

As to the body pain, it was not too bad played hockey with the neighbourhod kids sunday night so i think most of the pain was from that.
As to the overheat issue damn that light scared me when it came on!! But after i saw the ice chunk removed it and filled the running boards with snow it was good to go. And Maim just to claify we only traded because we were both cold on our own sleds.
