So here is the story. I decided to go snowmobiling Friday after work and loaded up and headed west to stay and ride with friends of mine in lead,sd. I made it to mitchell,sd in 3 hours which normally takes and hour. So as i left sioux falls,sd it was ok and progressively got worse really quick(white out conditions from high winds). So i got a hotel room and sleeped for a few hours and got up at 3am and continued my trip out west. The winds had calmed. i think i was the only idoit up i didnt see another vehicle going my way for almost 150 miles. Talk about being in the middle of nowhere. So i made it out there 7am mountain time 8am the sleds were running and ready to go. It was all worth it 15inches ;)! of fresh powder and the drifts in the meadows priceless :letitsnow . I rode all day with two friends and i went to bed 10pm on saturday i was up 19 hours so it was a long but great day. Sunday i loaded up and came home. I had my fun ;)! In the first pics those are elk they ran right in front of me when i was doing 35mph talk about scary the crap out of someone

There are about 385 miles of groomed trail in the black hills. flat like a highway its alot of fun but i think the way you guys ride over there would be awsome. :letitsnow

my brother went out to the hills friday in that nasty weather, but he said it was well worth it. sounds like they have some good powder out there. said if you got off the sled it was over waste deep. not gonna last long with the temperature out there.
