Need to know if an aftermarket silencer originally manufactured by Power Inc and sold by Maxximum Performance (apparently both no longer in business, unless I missed something) for a 1998 SRX triple triple will fit other and later SRX's. Yamaha part numbers are very close but not exactly the same. There was a small change made in the way they connected. Any SRX GURU's out there???

You watchin that on e-bay? I saw it too. The difference in the way the pipes connected was that the 2000 and up have the sliding pipe ends where they go into the silencer and the 98-99 pipes don't... I'm not sure if this would affect the PI silencer though. Sorry not much help.
All year SRX silencers are the same.
Thanks for for the reply. Understand about the sliding pipe ends. Have looked at the parts diagrams but haven't been able to see one up close. Any body else out there??? Surely there are still few guys out there that have one of these in their garage!!!
