I want to tighten the rear big shock on my sled so it can accommodate more weight but it is not a clicker shock, it is a viper shock and I don't know what the best way is to tighten it up and how much to tighten it to accommodate another rider.. any suggestions??
if your going to use your sled for one, then two riders, set the sled up for your weight with the fra in the soft, upper position, then when riding two up you can move it to the lower quickly and your all set for two up. this is what i do with my venture.
Absolutely correct . . .BETHEVIPER said:if your going to use your sled for one, then two riders, set the sled up for your weight with the fra in the soft, upper position, then when riding two up you can move it to the lower quickly and your all set for two up. this is what i do with my venture.
Do not simply put more preload on the rear spring alone by turning the adjusting nut. This disrupts the whole coupling balance of the skid as well as limits total travel. If you find that you have to adjust the preload on the rear spring be sure to balance the rest of the skid out to match. There is good info on this available in the Tech Pages, Past Posts, and the Suspension Tuning Manual.

Simple way to adjust the rear shock is to remove the shock from the skid, Simple with air tools & easy with hand tools once the shock is out........ & Yeah what they said

so the upper position of the fra is the softest, and the lower position is the hardest??
Yes, the upper position is the softest.maxout01 said:so the upper position of the fra is the softest, and the lower position is the hardest??
