bent my left lower radius arm over the weekend. got a new one coming> I need to know what I have to do to get it off. thanx fellas!!!!

Get the right sockets with a breaker bar and a ratchet, then stand on your head, hold your tongue just right, and grunt a little

Just kidding, pull the pipe and you can get to the bolt on the bulkhead side. The trailing arm side is self explanatory. Watch those knuckles.

which pipe do I pull. Clutch side, center, or exhaust side. I had heard u can do this without pulling pipes. By taking out bolt on trailing arm side and using a wrench to unthread the arm from bulkhead side. Please let me know never done it before.

You can do it that way, but you will not be replacing the end. If you do choose to do it that way be sure to thread both ends back to the same position they were on the old one. These are adjustment points that work together.

Removing the pipes is very easy to do, and you get the new end replaced as well.

In any case be sure to align the front end when you finish, Lot of info on this in the Tech Pages.

Well guys i'm going to attempt this in the morning. I will pull the pipes to do it. Can anyone please tell me what size wrenches or sockets I will need for the nut and bolt that holds it in. Thanx

They are 17mm, and on my '01 SX 700R they were a BEAR to get loose the first time, even after being broken loose it still took a lot of effort to get the nut all the way off. Bolt didn't even look that bad, but it sure was tight.

All back together now I can't get hole radius arm to line up with hole on trailing arm for the bolt to go through. Please help pipes are back on. first time doing this

Need a bit more description than that. Sometimes it can be hard to fight the shock. Gotta find some way to get an advantage over it and line it up. If you can get it fairly close, shove a screw driver through the hole to help you get it fully lined up.

Dude calm down...what is it doing that it won't let you line the bolt up??

is the twist wrong ,,what???

I am calm did not realize I had two post about same prob. There is too much tension, must be spring. will try putting screw driver through to line up. Thanx
