I bought my sled used and have no idea as to if it was clutched or not.
It engages at 4200 and climbs to 8400. It's a 99 SRX 600... can anymore be gained from clutching, or is that pretty much what i'm looking for?

aim for 8500 wot. Remove some tip weight.
do not make it rev higher than 8300-8400 max after that you loose power, on a dyno test srx 600 made max hp at 8250 rpms..
82-8400 is the sweet spot for that sled. I raced 2 of em from 1998-2000. If it,s hitting those rpm,s it,s been clutched allready & leave it alone.
