One of my upper idler wheels seems to be alittle loose like the bearing is starting to go bad. Is it ok to ride with it like that for like two more rides of the season this year?? Or am I just asking for trouble??

If your talking the two small ones that hold your track up you could
plobly take 'em right out and run it, not sure if you would get track
slap tho...

it's one of the big wheels in the rear. it's not too sloppy but the is alittle play in it. Dont want to run it if it's going to fall out. But me and my g/f only have like one more weekend to ride so if I can get away with it I would like too, lol.

well when I went riding last night I could feel/hear some noise from the rear suspension, the terrain was rough, like mogals, but I haven't even ridden it enough since I bought it to know if that's normal for the so called no action.. the other idler wheel is tight.

Two seasons ago I was looking at my rear idlers as I noticed a similar situation. My middle wheel was somewhat loose and I figured it should be ok. I came back two rides later only to find out that the wheel didn't hold, and that it took the axle with it along with both spacers surrounding it. I don't know how long the wheel was loose like that, but either way it didn't last. With 1 more weekend you may be ok, you may not... who knows? I personally think you may be able to last for the weekend if it's not too bad yet... mine was a little worse than you describe lol.

They need to be tight so it's eather bearing or wearing on the shaft
just going to have to tear into it see whats going on.
there is a collar too that goes on the shaft in bettwen the shaft
and the tunnle.

I will probably only ride like 80 miles. I am going away next week for the week and the snow is meltin fast so I can only ride this weekend. So if I can get away with it I'd like to. I'm just concerned because it's the big outer upper rear idler wheel, and it looks hard/long to replace and I dont have time before friday. But I don't want to blow it out either cause I dont think there is a middle wheel up there, which is not good..

I've always done them with skid out, but i think you can just un bolt the
center idlers in the tunnle and unbolt the rear skid lower down, take your
rear wheels off then tranfer rods off then there will be a C clip on the
shaft to take off then just pull the wheel off may have to gently tap it off if it's tight on the shaft.
