Let me start off by saying I'm amazed at the knowledge on this site. My son's 98 srx700 needs a clutch rebuild. Can you give me some advise as to a clutch kit upgrade to give it a little more pull. He rides mostly on the trail , but he's finding out how much fun it is to wait for someone to come along on the lake. Riding his sled seems to be his best therapy since coming home from Iraq with a purple heart. Thanks , bigtriple
sled likes 8400 rpm at wide open throttle. no higher. I would run the 00-02 SRX clutching with a few minor changes. get a w-w-w yamaha primary spring. get a set of 8dn-20 yamaha weights & load them up wuth 4.5 gram rivets inner & outer hole. wrap your secondary at 80 degree wrap. Cheap & works well.
