My 2002 SRX that i have converted to a 136" cross country killer boggs really bad when i am in powder snow. it happens even if snow dosent come in through the events. do you guys suggest i install an exaust deflector from a mountain max? will this correct my concern? also i have seen prefilters that minimize the amount of powder getting into the air box (available through mountainperformance)

appreciate any info on this one because since i have longtracked it i cannot go in deep powder like i want to cause of the bogging...thanks everyone.

cold air kit and exhaust deflector should help out a lot. do a search for the srx's bogging in powder theres a thousand threads about it.

My '01 does the same thing bad in deep powder, which can make it real fun to try and not get stuck. I think an exhaust deflector and cold air kit would help alot to keep it breathing in the steep and deep.

still trying to cure on my Viper?
exhaust deflector & custom made aluminum panel around stingers
intake prefilter on air box
ram air prefilters
2) filters installed in the dash
smaller screens on the hood vents
taped off all under hood air, air box sucking thru Ram-air (with 1-1/2 holes drilled to
dump straight in the air box)
tried to seal up everything
any suggestions?

bog

I put exhaust deflector and cold air kit on my MSRX and it did squat. When you load your hood full of snow it falls flat at WO throttle but will run at 1/2 throttle is what I experienced.

I had the same problem on my 02 viper, i put an exhaust deflector on it and it cured it, but my fathers srx has no deflector and bogs just as my viper did, for a cheap fix that deflector seems to work great so i'd say try that frts and if the problem presists consider something more. :letitsnow
