How would these skis work on a standard SRX? How wide are they and is the keel very deep. Looking for a wider ski than the standard SRX ski. Thanks.

my friend just put a pair on his 99 srx 600 and said it was ok then last night we look at his carbide and thier was none so he replaced them he is not a very agressive rider though

I would go with the newer mountain style skis from an 05 or newer. MUCH better ski and a lot more aggressive on the trails. Really work nice on proaction sleds too.

apex mountain skis

I put a set of 07 apex mountain skis on my srx this year. I was tired of riding on the belly pan in deep snow. They are just as aggressive as my c&a's were
on the trail and they float excellent in the powder. They look huge but they didn't slow me down a bit. I ran 112 (GPS) on ice with 21/39 gearing. One more thing these skis are so wide you can water skip at 20 mph. I think I paid about $300 from the dealer.
Hope this helps.....

Apex Mnt Skiis

Compared to my old C/A Pro skiis the 07 Apex Mnt Skiis feels like power steering. Floats and steers as well as the 6" C/As but is easier to side hill and won't tire your arms. Downfalls the Apex skiis hold too much snow, mount bolts catch on stuff and it's diffficult to install scratchers.

They are great

Several of my friends have put them on SRX's and SXR's. They are very good skies. Much more aggressive than the stock SRX skies. Sure you can use any of the skies that these guys are talking about but when you get rid of that stock aluminum ski saddle you immediatly loose about 1 1/2 inch of ride height and SRX's are low enough to begin with. The GYT mountain type skies use the same saddle and you will loose no ride height. ;)!

That's the problem I was having. I bought a pair of Apex skis but the sled sits way to low. I know you can flip your shock brakets but the radius rods are very low and the trailing arm. I thought that the mountain SRX skis would be better.
