srx gearing?

Hello all Iam set up my 98 700 srx to race this weekend.I think I will be running a set of 8bu-00s orange huack spring in the primary, 52/42 helix with a green spring in the saecondary the races are 660 ft .has any one run this set up? what should I use for gears.Ihave been doing some testing and I am haveing ajob catching a poo 700 xc he is getting me by 2 sled lenghs I tryed my stock helix and he gets me by about 5 lenghs. what can I do to change this sitcho.Any help would be great. The races are sunday and I need to get this sled going faster

21-39 is gear ratio of 1.86 its about perfect for 660 feet race!! get your suspension right, power is nothing whitout traction!!

I put 21/39 gears in this afternoon .I have a skid on it off a 97 xt I losened the front and rear spings right off and tighted my limiter straps.should I losen my front shock spings also.Also can someone post a pic on where to strap the front end down?Thanks for all the replys so far!!
 
one way to strap the front down is to make loop-end cables and attach them to the bolts on the shock, one on the upper mount and one on the lower. Set your cable length for the desired height, and get someone heavy to push down the front while you attach the cable and put the bolt through.
 
Thanks for the replys. one more ?Iam running the 8bu-00 with 4.5 in the tip onange hauck sping 4mm of shims,52/42 helix with a green spring.,21/39 gears.The sled engages at 5500 rpm,when I hit it out off the line the rpms goes right to 8500 then climbs to 8800 how do I get the rpms down?I tryed 3/3 and 1/6 hole in the secondary and they are still way high .Iam trying to get my sled dailed in for sunday.can any one help?

Will the extra weight in the center hole slow me down any raceing on 660ft? Right now its comeing out of the hole at 5500 rpm goes right to 8200 and climb to 8500. If I were to add weight to the center to bring the rpms down to 8300 would I add 2 grams to each weight?
