How's the seat come off, and gas tank?
Do I need to drop the skid?
I did a search, looked in the tech section but couldn't find any detailed instructions.
I will also be installing the front heat exchanger protectors, need help with these too.
Want the install to go quick, no guess work etc. Thanks for your help in advance.

If you drop the skid it will be easier, But you dont have to. I took my seat off and screwed them on with self tapping sheet metal screws. I didnt put any screws under the gas tank. they havent moved yet.

I pulled the seat and gastank and i already had the skid out for maintenance. There are just two i believe 12mm nuts holding the back of the gas tank on. The seat has two 12mm nuts in the trunk holding it on. Don't forget to disconnect the tailight wire so that you dont break it. You disconnect it after you unbolt the seat and move the seat back a little bit until you can get to it up by the gastank. Really is a pretty easy job to do. I used rivets to put mine on but i like the idea of those self-tapping sheet metal screws, probably a lot easier.
Thanks, I looked briefly for bolts holding the seat on but never thought to look in the trunk! Soon as I get the heat exchanger protector I'm going to tackle this one, sounds simple. Just need to buy a rivet gun. Anybody have any suggestions on which rivet gun is a decent one to buy?
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

I also use stainless self tapping screws. Drop the rear suspension as access is much easier. Simple job, good luck. Post any questions. Self tapping bolts are stronger than rivets.
