SRX compression

It depends highly on the compression tester being used. It is more imporatant that the numbers you get for each cylinder are VERY similar, no more than a few pounds difference. Leak down tells you a lot more about an engine.

^ i agree..

i got, p140 ,c135, m135 on my '01, if that gauge is right i'd say
your down a little, but like holic said a leak dowm will tell the truth..

My 00 with 10,000 Miles had 132 132 130 when I refreshed it. I have only put 100 miles on since then. I check it out tomorrow and see what it improoved.

A cheap gauge will always be off. I tested my sled (01 srx) 1st gauge said 135-136 and 2nd gauge said 120 on all 3. As long as they are within 5-10 percent of one another and not toooooooo low you should be ok. Flat up top.....powervalve issue??? I had a bad wire cap and fouled #1 plug and it wouldn't go over 80!!!!!

I had a cheap 30 dollar analog one I picked up. It read 130's across. I picked up a sweet digital one for 180.00 and got the 132 132 130 readings.

my 99 srx 700 has 120-120-120 with 7800km on it. i have a cheap tester that i paid $39.99 . i would also think you are fine as long as all your readings are within 10% of each other.

Sled has 4k miles on her.... maybe it's time for rings..?
Some would say yes,,it's cheap and easy to do,really don't need to
hone eather..

like said earlier do a leak down...

well i got 100 across on a cold engine then 120 across on the cold engine. runs like a champ, but should i do rings this summer? i want to just so i know i have good compression. my 98 srx has over 8800 on it now. riding this morning at 10:00.
