I'm not 100% on this but pretty sure...NO! The Light assembly itself is totally different and the wattage output is not high enough on the 98 to run a dual light system. I have a 97 SX that I put a better bulb in. The bulb is the brite lites 55/100 bulb versus the standard 55/60. The thing is the 55/100 bulb only comes with the light blueish tint and I hate the soft blue cast it has. I spoke to the owner of Brite Lites at the Novi snow show and he gave me a tip. You can remove the tint with rubbing alcohol and emery cloth. I did it and it worked great. Now it's a normal light cast thats alot brighter than a standard bulb.

Right the wattage output from the max won't be enough..

yes you can put the dual bulb headlight system on. The hoods are exactly the same, but you need the gauge pod and the headlight obviously, along with the newer style stator and pickup, and a new pickup location needs to be machined in the cases. You also need the wiring harness.
