i have pi end dumps on my mmax 700 it says on the spec sheet to run the sled at 8150. but the thing is i'm turning up 8600. i use heel clickers i got the frist hole loaded right up i can't put any more washers on the weight or it will hit the clutch,i just finished porting the motor, carbon tech reeds,i run a hymark roller clutch with a stright 45 helex set at 70 and a 22/39 with 8t drivers. i guess i want to know if it is ok to over rev a bit or should i try somthing else...reddog

The end dumps run at 8400 rpm but still do ok at 8600. It,s the centre dumps that need low rpm,s.

call race logic & ask what rpm,s their porting should run at with 8400 rpm pipes. I have never used their stuff & have no clue how it works. The porting has to match the pipes or your gonna go slower.

I ran them at 8500 after it built top speed on my 600. The accelerating rpms were right about 8200 until I got up there in speed. They are a higher reving pipe than the centre dumps like Turk says. I'm no engine guy myself like some on here but I wouldn't think that the porting would change rpms too much. BUT it would be a good idea to call race logic and find out as you would get the best performance.
