Yesterday when i was preparing for todays ride, I discovered that the center shock plastic bushings was worn out. I have two extra shocks so I looked at the other center shock, it had worn out bushings to. Then I looked at the other rear shock and I found a solution. The rear shock have bearings instead of plastic bushings and they will fit. The parts you need to do this conversion is:
2 bearings 93315-21454-00
4 oil seals 93109-14021-00
4 plastic washers 90202-14226-00
and if the collars that fit inside are scratched or worn (mine was fine)
2 collars 90387-10565-00
I think this will work on sxr and vipers with alu shocks to.
The parts(exept the collars) will cost about 46$ compared to 11$ for the plastic bushings, a little expensive for some small parts maybe but then you never have to change bushings again. I give no guarantee that this will work, but I can´t see why it shouldn´t. Maybe the bearings and oil seals could be found at a bearing shop for a better price.

shock bearings!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I noticed when I took my center shock out to replace the w-arm,them bushings were worn and the collars were not tight inside them. For now I just cut up some strip from a metal coffee can and wrapped around the bushings and slipped them back in.Now my collars are snug fit again. But Bethviper had suggested the bearings for the center shock in one of his posts. So them bearings are the same size as used in the rear shock?I will do the center shocks on both my SXR and SRX come the summertime.
