If I were to add some weight to the center hole of my 8bu00s to bring down my rpm would it slow me down raceing 660 ft? or will I have to find a different way to bring the rpms down?PLEASE HELP I have about 2 hours left before I go raceing.

Depends on how much your over reving, it could speed you up! Where are you overreving?

I am assuming your end hole is maxed out with wieght? The middle hole will help but may not be enough on the top end. If your shift is smooth and consistant you may look to a helix change that reduces the final angle, lots of variables here but a 1 degree change is roughly 100 rpm's.

In a quick fix you can try an Ultimax 3 belt, they are a slighty softer duromator and will pull your RPM's down threw the entire shift. you can also back off on your secondary twist to bring it down but you may pick up some belt slippage.

I am certainly no expert on clutching, there are some VERY good people here but givin your time frame I thought I would try and help somewhat.
