OK, been looking all over this site for the hot Viper set up to run with the 53/43 and GREEN SPRING.
Before installing it ,the STOCK clutching would jump to 8800 right away and go to 8900 sometimes 9000 RPM.
The 53/43 with the GREEN SPRING wrapped to 50 brings me down to 8500 initially but then goes to 8800/8900 within 600 to 1000 feet.
I have the stock 8 EK wts.
What rivets should I try to bring the rpms down a few hunrded ?
The stock clutching specs show the rivets in the 8ek wts. to be 13.9 and 17.2 grams, right?
The confusing part is that most avice I've read refers to 3 rivet pos. and using 4.5 gram rivets in the heel....

inner rivet is allready 4.5 grams. change outer to a 4.5; go back to red secondary at 80 wrap.
Thanks for the reply.
I'll get the 4.5gram wts, but...
what does 13.9 and 17.2 represent in the stock clutch specs?...grams
or ?
guess thats whats puzzling me, cause I'm thinking the wts. need to be heavier.
what am I missing here?

It is a millimeter measurement they use to classify the rivets. The 17.2 is the biggest oem rivet, and is 4.5 grams. It is gold in color.
