I have a 2001 700. Experiencing problems starting when it sits overnight outside. Can barely pull starter cord. Originally thought it was belt drag on clutch, had that checked. In order to start, I take plugs out, pull the cord a few times, then put plugs back in and it starts. But it won't start without this process. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix? Using Torco 100% synthetic oil. When we go on a trip my freinds have a 02 viper and 97 sx 700 and their sled pull fairly easily compaired to the SRX which will hardly budge Thanks.

when I used to leave my SXR600 outside the first winter and there where some cold nights, couldn't hardly pull mine either. So I just got a halogen lamp and put it over the engine top end and let it warm up for half an hour. Then pulling was no problem.Maybe it's the kind of oil you are using, but in colds temps, things get stiff for sure.

Mines hard to pull over to when it sits outside, but it'll still fire up in 4 pulls even though its hard as hell to pull..... lol hit the gym for a bit and that'll fix things

What kind of oil are you using??

since i've been using interceptor(full synthetic) they seem to spin over a little easier.

mine pulls over like a frekin locomotive but starts in 4 pulls, first one isn't much of a pull but they get easier after that. man i love the electric start on the nytro.

Cold Starting

A valuable trick I learned from this site is when shutting down the sled for the night, go to full choke til she almost dies then hit the kill switch. She'll start much easier in the morning!!!!!!!
