Anybody put a handle-bar riser on a 80's or early 90's Phaser.
If so how much will fit without cable extensions. Any pics? out there of a riser on a phaser. What happens to the plastic column cover and windy/fairing/gauge position. Wife is complaining of not being able to turn good with handle bars hitting her knees.
When wife complains, it isn't good!!!!!

I did it to my 95 phazer. I went three inches with a powermadd riser block mounted on top of the lower half of the original handlebar/fairing mount then used another stock handlebar mount and cut off the fairing mount ears and mounted the stock bars from there using longer bolts that I bought from the local hardware store. All the wiring had no problem reaching but the tach cable and brake cable were too short so I used another stock speedo cable for the tach and bought a universal brake cable from Dennis Kirk which is 5 inches longer. The plastic cover mounted as normal. There are some other pics in the sled garage.
