Hi,
I know someone locally who's selling a 2004 Viper Mountain. Then I started thinking about the Mountain Max 700.
What's the difference between the two sleds?
Cheers.

Both are the proaction platform with the viper being the same engine as the short track viper with the mountain max having the non powervalve engine and the older bodywork. Both good moutain sleds, some guys have said the mountain max has a lighter feel, but I can't say from firsthand experience.

ProAction Mountain rear suspension design offers gradual approach angle and excellent weight transfer to deliver superior deep snow flotation and hill climbing performance. Tapered tunnel and lightweight rear and running board heat exchangers increase snow clearance and deep snow function. Mountain handlebar strap on high handlebars enhances leverage in deep snow and while side-hilling. Narrow 38.6-inch ski stance for side-hilling and maneuverability. Rear footstep with grips allows the driver to position his weight towards the rear of the machine for superior hill climbing and side-hilling performance.
