SRV 540 question (year and pipe)

I need some help. Can anyone tell me what year the Yamaha SRV was if it is black in the center, bottom silver and has reflective blue on it ( 81?) Also it has a DG pipe on it. Did DG make one for this sled? The sled is almost in excellent condition and he wants $800, does this sound a little high?

Doug you can get some good info from my SRV message board, and Yes DG made pipes for the SRV along with PSI,AAEN,RPC,BENDER. Depending on the condition...these are getting collectable now.

Thanks. Yes, that is the one and it is really nice. I would take, that $800 is a fair price? DG pipe - a good performance addition?

8-10 hp gain....just make sure its jetted properly....should be close to a 160 mainjet....like I said depending on the condition yup $800 would be a fair price. of course if you can talk him down all the better!
