anyone had a headlight issue of repeated burn out bulbs ? I have a 00' SXR, I relamp the headlight, works ok at idle, but after some engine reving it blows the bulb. I had recently replace the lamp with an "upgrade" xenon gas type bulb (12v 100/55watt), it ended up melting my connector to the headlight bulb, so....., a new hood harness was replaced (can't buy the connector only), I now have install an oem type bulb, but have observe it won't last long. I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar issue?
I'm leaning towards a voltage regulator, and will trace the harness for any
chaffinng, but if you have a similar experirence with this type of issue, please let me know what you found out.
thanks.

Do you have a service manual so that you can check the resistance and continuity of all electrical parts with the factory specs?
