'01 or pre '00???


2000 or newer.the 2000 had a recall but that's about it.They lightend the srx's up more in 01.I personally like the 01 and 02 srx's

I still have my '01 and i love that sled. Have been trying to sell it to pay off the four stroke quicker but looks like i may be keeping it lol

i have a 98 i like the black bellypan look better. and yes they had some problems but all should be good now. run the vin with the dealer and they can tell you if the crank welding has been done. do all the proactions have w arms issues? my srx has almost 9000 mi and i have done little to it throw rings at it once in a while and clean valves and carbs. i would'nt hesitate from owning an older one. but the newer ones are faster if you're interested.
 
I havn't had a problem with my W arm on mine yet and i just rolled over 10 000 km, Theres no cracks in it yet so i dunno about the W arm problems, I know lots of guys on here have had trouble with them, lol guess i'm just lucky so far
 
You shoulda seen my old W'ARM.... yea it had BIG problems lol.. there was one bit of square tubing holding the whole thing together. I haven't had a problem with my SRX yet though.
