How do you like the rear proaction? I'm curious how the "position sensitive" works, on my edge skid I have the same type shock and its friggen mint.

Otherwise just wondering anything else about the S, I sold my 02 viper and got a rx1 and thinking of possibly going back to a viper S (never realized the sled was that much different until I started reading up on it) and pocketing the difference for some expenses that came up.

Thanks guys!

I dont own one but have ridden one and can say that they ride MUCH better than the 2002 vipers with the standard shocks, and at least just as good as the updated shocks. The DCS rocks, great feature. And the ohlins shocks on the front are a tremendous add-on for not much more money.

The only two things I hated about my viper was the rear skid and the seat, it seems they improved both for this S. Cool!

i am thinking about parting out my 2002 and buying a 2004. it sound like the 04 is alot better than the 02 vipers

I have a Viper S and I love it . Unfortunately ive never ridden an earlier model Viper to compare it to . The Ohlins up front are nice . Its real easy to adjust for the bumps and back for handling .I only wish they had put them in the rear skid . That seems to be the weak link on mine . I havent readjusted mine from the factory settings and I think I need to . Its pretty rough in the moguls but Im probably just expecting too much from it . Any way for the money theyre going for now its a bargain .And besides who wouldnt want to ride the coolest looking Viper made , I mean the red on black with some red headlight covers just looks sinister !

Yeah, just missed a MINT "S" 20 miles from me for $2950! I could have cried when I saw the ebay auction. Sled was crazy clean with 5100 miles. Little high in miles but cheap as dirt!

I looked at that one too. I think the pics were taken when the sled was almost new. That or it was amazingly clean for the mileage.

The one thing I did to my Viper S which really was a big improvement was the addition of the Ohlins in the rear skid.
