Our group missed a turn in Baldwin and thought it would be fun to take the power easement along US10 back to the staging area. The tracks from the previous sled(s) had at least 4" of heavy fresh slurpee like snow and my big fat front heavy SRX got a little bogged and slid sideways when trying to climb a hill. Well the sled got sunk and when I throttled it, the belt slipped in the primary smoking it. I replaced with the brand new spare, washed down and cooled the clutches with fresh snow, and she still would not turn. It acted like the brakes were siezed, but they were not.

We ended up dragging her around 180 and I held the back end up while my buddy throttled her to get all the slurpee snow out of the tunnel. Turned out that the entire tunnel was PACKED with heavy wet snow. I was the only one with this problem. Anyone know what causes this and a fix?

The boondocking was fun until I smoked a $50 belt.
