I know this has been on here before but i searched and can't find much. well yesterday we put my new crank in and got my viper all back together and it wouldn't run right or idle right. we messed with the throttle cable and the idle screw until we got it going good. i drove 20 miles last night and it was great. i rode it 30 miles this morning and it was great again. all this riding was in the fields and jumping it. now we rode about 80 miles today and whenever my viper reaches around 65-72 mph it bogs out and won't go any faster. if i let off and then hit again or ease into high speed it will run fine. i think it needs a new throttle cable because it is pretty bad. could a bad throttle cable cause this. i think i heard about tps or tors problems. could either of these be the case. it didn't do it this morning but does it most of the time when i gun it now. also since we put it back together something kind of rattles like in the clutches around 5000 rpm or if you are gunning it and letting off and then gunning it again it does it. it doesn't do it at idle or when you are running a good consistent speed or a higher speed or when you let off the throttle. could it be the secondary. i am pretty sure it is not the primary since it doesn't do it at idle and it is not internal in the motor. any suggestions thanks

could it be the TORS. My buddy also borrowed my sled for a good ride and said he noticed a ratalling or ticking clacking sound from the lefthand front. I cant here it at all maybe im used to the noise. All my bearings have been changed besides the one on the axle by the secondary, maybe thats the prob but it looks good.

i thougt i saw that if it was the tors it won't rev over three grand. that's not my problem. mine runs perfect until upper 60's and lower 70's then it bogs out

no rpm's are fine. yesterday was the first day it ever did it. i have messed with the throttle cable and powervalves and a bunch of stuff making sure it's all goos. i am going to drive it later this week and see if it helped any

Try loosening the throttle cable. You only want it just tight enough that when the throttle hits the grip the carbs are just pulled wide open. If your throttle doesn't hit the grip with almost no effort then it is too tight.
