Was out for a ride and struck a bump pretty hard on the front end of the suspension. Since then I've noticed a growling sound and a bit of increased vibration when driving. I've checked the suspension and everything looks fine nothing bent or broken. Have rode about 250 kms since but am a little worried. Could I have taken out the jackshaft bearing?

is it in the rear suspention or the front suspention. if it is in the rear your driveshaft is probably bent i would examine that

I'd check your drive shaft bearings.

Put her in the shop today and had a good look at the skid. The left hand rail is bowed in at the tip and the plastic tip is rubbing on the drive lugs. Funny that there is no wear on the lugs but it is definatley rubbing. The lugs are tight against the rail. I think it should be an easy fix. Large channel locks+some brute force and ignorance=straight rail.
