Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my light relay/electrical system. I was riding it when it lost all power and headlights but it would still sit there and idle as soon as I gave it a little gas it would just fall on its face and not even move at all. So I disconnected the light relay and now it runs fine but I everything electrical doesn't work, like lights fuel gauge, and tach. And its not the relay its self cause I can hook it back up later on and it will work again for a little while so I'm almost thinking its a wire grounding out somewhere or something. Have any of you guys ever had this problem or have an idea of what it might be?
the blue relay is headlight relay, the white relay is load control relay, if when you remove the load control relay everything works then you have a direct shorting of the wire harness some where, most likely under the engine.

Just had the identical problem in my 2001 srx and it was the wiring harness...

what does that white "load control" relay do exactly? I lost power to the electromagnet in mine for some reason so I had to put a jumper wire in to bypass it. everything still works but I want to know the purpose of that relay and why I might have lost power to it.
