Per the advice of many, I'm going to put 4.5g rivits in the inner holes of the weights on my viper. Dealership had no reference to rivit weights. So, I went to a local shop and picked up some individual pieces of lead. Figured, I'd pull the weights, drill out the old rivits, weigh the weights, then add the lead and file it down until the weight is increased by 4.5g. Does this sound like a corerect way to do this?

I've used lead before, it will work, I just touched a piece on the grinder until it weighed what I was looking for then pressed in into the weight. Its alot easier to get out too if you want to make a change.
Now I'm completely lost. According to the tech page. the inner rivits are already 4.5g stock. Everyone is telling me this is the one to replace.

I'm thinking that breathing lead dust is bad, and it's not as hard as steel or aluminum, so a dislodging piece at 9000 RPM would also be bad. Definately easier to get the OEM part, and they are only a buck apiece.

inner rivet is allready 4.5. Change outer from 3.6 to a 4.5 if your overrevving.
