Had red out riding on the Sheboygan County Marsh. Let a freind run it for 2 miles and he said that it just stopped. He also noted that there was no bang or weird noise it just died. Tried pulling on her and she was tight. After about 10 min. she was loose again. Here are some pics from the Cylinder, Head, Pistons, Plugs and case to show there was oil in it. Walls look in good shape no metal floating around and plugs are cardboard brown. Any Ideas??????

I am not very computer savy but I cant get any pics up to help you.

You have to have the pictures hosted on the internet somewhere. I think your trying to upload them straight from your hard drive.

It was probably tight. I treid to pull it over but nothing. I took the belt off to tow it and 5 min later it was loose again. I don't think that the belt wold have have held it up. What can i do to look for it if it is in the crank? Do I have to split the case? Everything looks good can't figure it out. Any Ideas? Thanks for the help.

that's what my 98 srx did when i blew 2 crank bearings. no noise just boom motor stopped dead and i couldn't turn it over. rest was fine split the crankcase and found my problem. start tearing her down you'll find the problem.

Sounds like a crank bearing on the magneto side. Very common issue. There are several threads on that specific problem.
